Summary

Experience completing a body towel for beautiful skin while learning from a craftsman at a highly skilled workshop that produces Nishijin textile belts.

The outermost rough threads of cocoons made by silkworms used to be thrown away because they were difficult to use, but to avoid wasting the cocoons, the “cecilin,” an ingredient for beautiful skin contained in these threads, was focused on and used to develop body towels.
In this experience, you can make your own original body towel by weaving it with your own hands. No special skills are required, and even beginners can feel at ease as the artisans carefully teach them.
Above all, the interaction with the artisans, who are full of hospitality, will be heartwarming and transcend language barriers.

Staffs in the workshop is friendly and welcoming.

They will teach you about silkworms, cocoons, and kimono techniques in detail.

Even if it is your first time, you will be taught in detail and can weave with ease.
Please take the finished product home as a souvenir to use as a body towel.
