Overview

This tour takes you to the mountain area of Iwaki City, which covers a vast area, to experience the richness of nature and the religious beliefs that are deeply rooted in the lives of the people who live there.
Please spend an unforgettable time away from your daily life, facing yourself in the great outdoors, or talking with your loved ones.

Itinerary

Day 1: Iwaki Station→Harvest seasonal vegetables in the field→Campsite tenting, BBQ, star gazing
Day 2: Make breakfast→Saishio trekking→Ajikan experience at Jyofukuji Temple on the holy mountain of Akaiyadake

Places to Visit

Farm Shiraishi

Visited the farm of Mr. Shiraishi, a farmer who has been in business since the Edo period. While listening to stories of how he overcame earthquake and flood damage, we will tour his fields and greenhouses.
Participants will experience harvesting seasonal vegetables grown with a commitment to “natural farming.

HASH Village

We will spend the night at a camp site with almost no signal, and spend time away from smartphones and PCs to cherish the present moment.
In the evening, we will eat meat and vegetables produced in Fukushima Prefecture, cooked with our special BBQ method. We will spend a rich night time appreciating the starry sky while relaxing by the campfire and savoring the extraordinary.

Saishio 33 Kannon

You will experience the awe and faith in nature as you visit giant stones of various shapes and sizes in the mountains and 33 Kannon placed at the source of the stones. The trek is moderately strenuous and short but brisk.

Akaidake Jofukuji Temple

Stroll through the precincts of this historic temple, which has a 1200 year history as a place of faith. We will also visit the Ryuton cedar, which is said to be over 1,000 years old.
The tour will conclude with an Ajikan experience inside the temple.
